Hi! My name is Bo. Hope it's okay for me to write a few words about my story.

I went to live with my mom and dad at the end of March, 1997. They tell everyone they rescued me. That's a bit of a stretch. Actually a very nice vet in the Fremont shelter, and the wonderful people from Nor Cal, rescued me. I spent a month with my fantastic foster parents, Sue & Gene, and my golden foster sisters, Sammy and Laurel (I have a secret crush on Laurel, but don't tell anyone). I still get to stay with them when mom and dad have to go away on trips. Talk about the best of both worlds!

I get tons of love at my new home, but, believe me, I earn it. I have many jobs. Obviously, I can't tell you about all of them, but one necessary duty is to take dad for a walk every morning and evening. We often pick up trash people have dumped (we like a clean neighborhood). We also make sure the neighborhood is safe from coyotes, and we keep those pesky rabbits and quail at a safe distance. I love seeing all my canine and human friends on our walks. My favorite is Molly, but she's a little shy. My second most important job is acting as the physical trainer for our 14-year-old cat. She's way too lazy, but, boy, can I get the old girl running when I think it's necessary.

Of course, my main job is giving lots of love. Mom says she doesn't know what she ever did without me, and dad gets really grumpy when we're not together because he doesn't get enough exercise. I sure hope there are lots of people out there who will give a Golden (or two or three) a good home. You won't be sorry.
